Field and Game Association
NSW Field and
Game Association weathered a fairly tumultuous period in their history
recently with an Executive that simply would not listen to their
members. Some members of SSAA thought it would be a good idea to
amalgamate the NSW Field and Game Association into the SSAA and
set about ignoring the wishes of their membership by attempting
to do just that.
The members
finally had their say when they requisitioned a special meeting
in Yass in April 2002.
The outcome
was that a new President and Executive were elected, the so-called
affiliation agreement with SSAA was thrown in the bin and the club
that led the move was expelled from the Association.
The Association
now has a fine team to build their future with Jim Pirie from Mudgee
as President and Richard Mould from Cooma as Vice President. They
have excellent plans for the Field and Game Association and I'm
sure they will be able to stop the leakage of clubs to Victorian
associations and reassert NSW as the predominant Field and Game
State.
